Finding a good anime to watch can be daunting. There’s a lot out there and you shouldn’t spend your time on bullshit. Below is a list of the best ones I’ve watched so far, all recent stuff, most on hulu for free.

- beautiful, action-based, invade your dreams: Kurau (quantum particles!) and Eureka Seven
- depressing against-all-odds, keep fighting, rebellion: Guilty Crown, Deadman Wonderland, Fractale, zegapain (not on hulu, sorry), Red Garden (girlie. & vampires), Shiki (vampires)
- get a life you son of a bitch: Welcome to NHK
- french revolution cross dressing with plenty of sword fighting and possibly in space (apparently that’s a genre): revolutionary girl Utena (not on hulu, sorry), The Count of Monte Cristo, Le Chevalier d’Eon
